The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) has greenlit the operation of Oahu’s 10th medical cannabis dispensary. Cure Oahu, located at 70 Kihapai St. in Kailua, received final approval after passing an on-site inspection and officially began serving patients on Thursday.
Expanded Access for Patients
The new facility is the 25th licensed dispensary statewide, enhancing access to medical cannabis for patients on Oahu’s windward side. Liam Gimon, DOH Dispensary Licensing Supervisor, highlighted the importance of this addition, stating, “Cure Oahu’s new dispensary in Kailua will provide much-needed access to patients.”
The dispensary joins a network that includes:
- 9 licensed centers on Oahu
- 6 locations on Hawaii Island
- 2 dispensaries on Kauai
- 7 dispensaries on Maui
