What’s new in 2024?
The Cannabiz Awards 2024 have introduced three new categories to reflect the growth and diversity of the sector. They are:
- Best Use of Technology: This category recognises the use of technology to enhance the efficiency, quality, safety or accessibility of cannabis products or services. Examples include software, hardware, apps, platforms, devices, sensors, testing, tracking or delivery systems.

- Best Industry Newcomer: This category recognises the individual who has made the most significant contribution to the industry in their first year of involvement. Examples include entrepreneurs, executives, researchers, practitioners, advocates or influencers.
The Cannabiz Awards 2024 have also increased the number and diversity of judges, who represent a wide range of expertise and perspectives from the industry and beyond. The judging process has been enhanced to ensure more transparency, consistency and fairness. In stage one, the judges will shortlist the entries, while in stage two, they will meet to discuss and score the entries independently against the judging criteria.
How to enter?
The entry process for the Cannabiz Awards 2024 is simple and straightforward. Entrants need to fill out an online form, providing basic information and a brief summary of why they deserve to win. They can also upload supporting documents, such as testimonials, case studies, reports, videos or photos.
The entry deadline is 15 March 2024, with a late deadline of 22 March 2024. The shortlist will be announced on 18 April 2024, and the winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony on 30 May 2024, at Zinc at Federation Square in Melbourne.
