Las Vegas Welcomes Its First Regulated Cannabis Lounge with THC-Infused Cocktails

Las Vegas Welcomes Its First Regulated Cannabis

Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world, has added another attraction to its list: the first regulated cannabis lounge in Nevada. Smoke and Mirrors, a venue that offers premium strains, hand-crafted infused cocktails and an electric social atmosphere, opened its doors on Friday, February 23, 2024.

A Milestone for Cannabis Advocacy

The grand opening of Smoke and Mirrors was celebrated with the inaugural purchase made at 4:20 p.m. by Clark County Commission Chairman and longtime cannabis advocate Tick Segerblom. Segerblom, who is also known as the “Godfather of Marijuana” in Nevada, has been instrumental in pushing for cannabis legalization and regulation in the state.

“I’m thrilled to see this day finally come,” Segerblom said. “This is a historic moment for Las Vegas and for the cannabis industry. Smoke and Mirrors is not just a place to consume cannabis, but a place to enjoy it with friends, music and art. This is what we envisioned when we fought for cannabis lounges.”

A Unique Experience for Cannabis Enthusiasts

Smoke and Mirrors, located at 2975 S. Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, next to the company’s Thrive Cannabis Marketplace, aims to provide a unique experience for cannabis enthusiasts of all levels. The lounge features a variety of products, including flower, concentrates, edibles, vape pens, topicals and more.

Las Vegas Welcomes Its First Regulated Cannabis

One of the highlights of Smoke and Mirrors is its cannabis-infused signature cocktails, which are made with SOBREO, a non-alcoholic spirit infused with THC and terpenes. The cocktails are designed to enhance the flavor and effects of cannabis, and include:

  • The Godfather: Smoke and Mirrors’ take on the Hemingway Daiquiri, honoring the work of Nevada’s cannabis champion, Tick Segerblom. The dynamic drink features SOBREO Vietnamese Anise, blueberry puree, lime juice, pineapple juice, agave nectar and basil leaves.
  • Evolve: The lounge’s version of a deconstructed apple pie featuring SOBREO Indonesian cinnamon, apple juice, vanilla syrup and a cinnamon stick.
  • Higher Ground: A green tea highball inspired cocktail featuring SOBREO Tuscan Juniper, agave nectar, green tea, raspberries, lemon wedges, rosemary sprig leaves and FEVER TREE Ginger Beer.

A Social Hub for the Cannabis Community

Smoke and Mirrors is not just a place to consume cannabis, but a place to socialize, network and have fun. The lounge offers social events, co-working spaces and live performances from local and touring artists and DJs. The lounge also showcases local art and culture, and plans to host educational workshops and seminars on cannabis topics.

“We are beyond excited to have unveiled the first state licensed cannabis lounge in Las Vegas,” said Christopher LaPorte, Managing Partner at RESET. “Our goal is not just to create a space for cannabis enthusiasts, but to create a social hub for our guests. With Smoke and Mirrors’ remarkable array of products, we aim to provide an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impression.”

Smoke and Mirrors is open from 4 p.m. to midnight on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from noon to midnight Thursday through Sunday. For more information, visit SmokeandMirrorsLV.com.
